Health is ever-present… it is the ability to adapt to change. So what is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy? Biodynamic simply means following your inherent body intelligence. Cranio = bones of the skull, sacral = bones of the sacrum (tailbone). So, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is:

I offer Out & About Qi Gong Basel. This is a unique way to down-regulate your stress levels, learning to sense what is going on in your body, by focusing on breath and slow gentle movements. We practice weekly at different outdoor locales in the Basel area.

I first discovered alternative therapies during my second pregnancy, when I suffered a chronic illness that conventional medicine could not help. The results kept me out of hospital and were so fantastic that I decided to train and qualify as a homeopath at the London College of Practical Homeopathy. I went on to further qualify as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist at the Karuna Institute, Devon and as a Chi Kung Teacher at the College of Elemental Chi Kung, London. I am registered with the CSTA and am awaiting EMR recognition. I am also a CELTA - teacher of English as a Foreign Language, with several years experience of teaching here in Basel.

  • TESTIMONIAL I am the manager and head coach of Zenith Performance Personal Training Studio in Egerkingen. The days are long, sometimes starting at 0600 and then finishing at around 2030. It’s not unusual to knock out 60-70 hours of work a week. Through the constant long hours and stress, in March of 2016 I ended up hitting 'the wall' hard and my body was having a lot difficulty recovering. I started to have panic attacks, very poor sleep and a host of digestive issues. I have known Shirley for a few years and she suggested CST would help me. I decided to give it a go and in as little as 3 treatments I was feeling a lot more ‘Zen’ and my panic attack had stopped. My productivity increased and my sleep recovery had greatly improved. I thought to myself, ‘Wow, this shit works wonders!' Being a fitness professional I am always interested in 'measurable’ success, meaning I want to see and feel results. I decided to track how the treatments affected my physiology. The results are clear: I have had a great improvement in mood; stress resilience; my heart rate is lower; my blood pressure is lower; and there has been an increase in my heart rate variability. These are all parameters that have a major influence on one’s physical, mental and emotional health. In my opinion, Shirley is an extremely competent therapist and has helped me deal with a whole plethora of issues, I highly recommend her services. I now include CST as an important part of my fitness and health regime. For me its massage for the mind and soul; it presses my reset button and leaves me fresh - I’m hooked.
