Ode to Kai – Life in the Old Dog Yet
Many opponents of complementary therapies argue that there is no scientific proof and few studies to back the anecdotal evidence.
This surprises me because these same opponents often work in the pharmaceutical or medical industries where off-license medications are readily prescribed, having not undergone any studies into their efficacy for that particular disease, rather for another ailment. These off-license medications are presribed on what is effectively “anecdotal evidence”, and are used for a purpose not approved by the FDA for that package label.
So, it heartens me to find some small studies are being undertaken into the efficacy of Craniosacral Therapy.
In This Study, it was discovered that Craniosacral Therapy is an effective treatment strategy for patients of Cervicogenic Headache as measured on HIT-6 during a 3 week treatment program. Cervicogenic Headaches are those originating from the cervical (neck) spine.
What anecdotal evidence do you have that Craniosacral Therapy was beneficial to you? Do you have a story you wish to share?
If so, do either write me a review on my facebook page or comment below, drop me an email that you won’t mind me sharing with others.
